History

Susan L. Dubrof, Esq. is the founding member of QDRO Benefits Firm (“QBF”). QBF is a woman-owned firm (awaiting issuance of its WBENC certification) whose primary focus is anything associated with qualified domestic relations orders (“QDROs”).

Susan has over 25 years of experience with QDROs. In 1991, she began her career as a general employee benefits attorney with one of the largest law firms in Atlanta. Using her solid understanding of employee benefits, she began focusing her area of practice on the division of retirement assets through QDROs. She also started working with divorce attorneys in high net worth domestic cases to assess and divide other forms of deferred and executive compensation.

In 1996, Susan expanded her practice to include not only the preparation of QDROs, but also the review and administration of QDROs for corporate plan sponsors and third-party administrators. Susan has worked with both large and small plan sponsors, and has developed a streamlined process for the review and administration of QDROs, including the preparation of model documents and use of our proprietary QDRO tracking system (QDROTracTM). We have developed this streamlined process with the goal of providing excellent service at a price far below that of our competitors.

Susan graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia where she received her B.B.A. and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.  Susan graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law and was the Executive Articles Editor for the Georgia Law Review. While a member of the Georgia Law Review, Susan also authored the Comment, Pendent Party Jurisdiction After Finley v. United States: A Trend Toward Its Abolition, 24 GA. L. Rev. 447, 465 (1990).
